As the 2024-2025 school year begins, Zion continues one of the ministries which we are passionate about. Each year Liberty-Benton families of elementary and middle school students are given information about our Weekend Food Backpacks. Any family who feels they have a need for their food supply for their children to be supplemented on weekends is welcome to sign up. Each Friday the student will come home with nutritional food items to provide them with meals and snacks.
Last year we served 60 different students in this ministry and expect to do about the same or more this year. (Current cost is a little over $200 per week/almost $8000/year.) Monetary donations from individuals, businesses, and groups are always welcome. Please contact the church to give.
